New Forest Inns
Most country pubs in the New Forest let rooms for bed and breakfast. The Inn was originally a travel stop-over to let the horses rest or change-over, often the passengers had the option of sleeping over before the next leg of the journey. However, this no longer happens and the Inns, now Country Pubs have accommodation to let for the visitors to the area.
Just like a bed and breakfast - I hear you say ? Please consider, the presence of the bar ! This may not be everyone's cup of tea, you wont be able to moan about late night noise, as this is inherent in the location. However, it is ideal if you want the log fire and constant social interaction in the bar. Many inns are freindly places with good food available all through the day.
A lively place to use as a base often with a more luxurious room than a B&B, although many B&Bs these days are coming close.
