New Forest Cottages

Self-catered cottages are properties let out on the basis that you do all the work ! The cottage is provided with bed linen and fridge, cooker, crockery and cutlery. The rest is up to you. There are many cottages being let in the New Forest and we cant hope to keep up with all of them, but here are the ones we have found. You will need to book probably a complete week to start and finish on a fixed changeover day. This will then fit in with other bookings made. You will also need to pay for the booking in advance of the let and it is doubtful whether there is any prospect of you claiming a refund should you become unable to use the property unless the owner can re-let. Insurance is probably a must here. If you intend going to the local for food, remember to take your torch as many New Forest locations have no street lights and when it gets dark in the New Forest, it gets DARK! Some establishments provide added extras, like board games, DVDs and CDs for the hi-fi system (should there be one available) - make sure you know what facilities are provided before you book.
