New Forest Camp Sites and Caravan Parks

There are many Camp Sites and Caravan Parks in the New Forest all of which have the usual facilities. The Official ones on Forest land are managed by a single company letting pitches. Some, however are on the outskirts and are not actually within the bounds of the Forest. If you camp out on a forest camp site, please be organised. Do not leave your rubbish lying around in a plastic bag thinking that someone will come around and pick it up. Chances are, that a pony will find it first and eat plastic which will just as likely kill it. Take your rubbish away, or make sure it is secured in a bin out of the reach of animals. Do not encourage the ponies with sandwiches or buns, as they can get aggressive and your holiday may end up in the hospital eating their food. Camping and Caravaning is a wonderful past time getting close to nature and the healthy outdoors, please respect the beautiful surroundings you find yourself in.
